No need to worry

Lately I have worried about a lot of things. What I will do once I graduate from college, current college courses, friends and other things within my life. I was up late at night thinking and realized how much of a waste of time worry truly is. It is hard not to worry things in life, but what will worrying change? God has everything in control and watches out for me, what do I have to worry about?

Luke 12:25-26 “And besides, what’s the use of worrying? What good does it do? Will it add a single day to your life? Of course not! And if worry can’t even do such little things as that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?”

I read that verse and thought, what does worry really do for me? Does it add another day to my life? No! Worry does nothing but produce stress. I have decided that I am going to try to replace worry with prayer. Everyone likes to vent when they are stressed or have something on their mind, so why not talk to the one who is all loving and always listening?

Peter 5:7 “Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.”

I will be working opening up to God when I feel worried or unsure. I need to tell myself not to worry, he has everything under control. Worrying is just a waste of energy that I could use elsewhere.
